It has a nice soft plastic around the inside and only the visor part is hard. I was able to secure it around the baby’s head and because it’s a soft plastic it didn’t seem to bother the baby at all. It was so nice not to have to worry about soap getting in his/her eyes, and he/she seemed very comfortable with it on. Baby on the way!
